Summary of responsibilities:

Greet customers by phone or in person with promptness. Open repair orders and enter the information related to the vehicle to be repaired. Schedule appointments according to workshop availability. Accurately record the customer’s requests on the Work Order, one operation per request. Always indicate the repair type code (Repair Type). If applicable, perform an estimate of heavy vehicle repair costs by examining the components under the truck, inside the hood or elsewhere, and provide it to the customer. Inform the customer whether the repairs are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Agree with the customer on the method of payment for the repairs. Keep the customer informed when parts necessary for the repair are on order (back order). Promote preventive maintenance programs, specials, or any other appropriate products or services for the customer’s vehicle. Close the repair order once it has been verified by the shop foreman, and allocate the charges to the customer, to the warranty, or to a goodwill policy request. Receive, install tags, maintain cleanliness, and drive trucks; Communicate with the foreman and technical advisers; Provide support, if needed, for document filing.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in French and basic English. English proficiency level: basic reading and writing Frequency: daily for communications with non-Quebec customers for repair needs. Sales-oriented behavior for products and services; Ability to work in a team; Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics (an asset); Experience interpreting industry-specific trucking warranties (an asset).
