Job Description

Confidential Position – Service Director, Automotive Sector, Montérégie, Quebec.

Position Context and Objective: As part of a discreet recruitment process, we are seeking a Service Director capable of leading after-sales and technical service activities and establishing a culture of operational excellence and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning service performance with company objectives while ensuring safety and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and oversee the operational strategy of the service, in line with financial goals and other departments.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop service teams (technicians, customer advisors, supervisors) to achieve performance indicators.
  • Supervise daily service activities, planning, resource allocation, and process optimization (repairs, maintenance, quality control).
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience, handle complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage the service budget, monitor costs and investments, and drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with Sales and Parts departments to enhance the customer journey and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and promote a safety and training culture.
  • Implement skills development programs and ensure succession planning.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a service management role, ideally in the automotive industry or after-sales service.
  • Relevant educational background in management, administration, engineering, or related fields; additional training will be appreciated.
  • Proven leadership, strategic mindset, and ability to unite multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong customer focus, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, change management, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in French; functional proficiency in English is an asset.
