Job description

Valleyfield Nissan, a dealership located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, is seeking a Service Director to lead its After-Sales department and support our team dynamics.

A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is required.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop the service team (technicians, service advisors, administrative staff) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Guarantee exemplary customer service: proactive needs management, follow-up on repairs and rapid resolution of complaints.
  • Plan, prioritize and optimize daily tasks and work orders; coordinate resources to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Oversee estimates, quotes and work-order closures, ensuring the department’s profitability.
  • Maintain Nissan standards for quality, safety and compliance; promote safe and efficient working practices.
  • Manage the service budget, parts stock and related purchases in collaboration with the Parts and Sales departments.
  • Analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, customer satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Develop the team’s skills through ongoing training, coaching and regular performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales and Parts departments to ensure a consistent customer experience and maximize service and sales opportunities.
  • Ensure health and safety at work and ensure compliance with internal procedures and local regulations.

Profile sought

  • Relevant degree (DEC or equivalent) in the automotive, management or administration field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in after-sales service (automotive preferred).
  • Proven leadership, excellent communication, customer service orientation and ability to solve problems quickly.
  • Knowledge of workshop management tools and DMS systems; familiarity with Nissan standards and procedures is an asset.
  • Results-oriented, able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks with rigor.
  • Bilingual French/English appreciated; valid driver’s license.
