We are seeking a Claims Clerk to join the team at 440 Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd., located in Laval. As a member of Tremblay Auto Group, you will work in a company committed to the community and focused on excellence in customer service. You will serve as the key point of contact for managing customer claims related to vehicles and after-sales services.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and accurately and professionally record their claims.
- Analyze the reasons for claims, gather the required information (documents, photos, service history), and determine the processing steps.
- Act as a liaison between customers, after-sales service, sales, and warranty departments to ensure quick and fair handling.
- Communicate decisions, timelines, and actions taken, and follow up until resolution.
- Update customer files in the CRM system and prepare reports on claims trends.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements regarding claims and service.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the claims process by proposing solutions for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Manage calls and emails related to claims with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in claims processing, customer service, or a similar position; experience in the automotive sector is an asset.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in French; functional knowledge of English is an asset.
- Strong customer orientation, diplomacy, and ability to handle delicate situations.
- Organization, time management, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency with common computer tools (Microsoft Office, CRM, ticketing software) and ability to quickly learn internal systems.
- Team spirit, autonomy, proactivity, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Availability to work according to departmental needs (potentially variable schedules).
