Job Description

BMW Sherbrooke - Groupe AutoMax is seeking a Director of Financial Services to lead our team responsible for insurance solutions, auto loans, and warranties in Sherbrooke, Quebec. This key role directly contributes to business success while supporting our clients in their financing and vehicle protection projects for BMW.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the financial services team dedicated to insurance, auto loans, and warranties.
  • Define and implement the service's business strategy, set annual goals, and monitor results to optimize profits and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with insurers and lenders to offer competitive and tailored packages for each client.
  • Oversee auto financing and insurance processes to ensure compliance, transparency, and swift service.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members to ensure exceptional customer service and optimal sales performance.
  • Collaborate with sales and after-sales departments to enhance the customer experience throughout the purchasing and ownership journey.
  • Manage the service budget and performance indicators (customer satisfaction, conversion rate, profitability).
  • Implement development and continuous improvement programs for processes and tools related to financing and insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards related to auto financing and insurance.

Profile Required

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum required experience: three years in a similar role or in the automotive financial services sector.
  • High-end experience is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills; results and customer service-oriented.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and foster talent development.
  • Knowledge of automotive financing and insurance practices and applicable legal framework; automotive sector knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in French; English is an asset.

To perform the following tasks

Business development
Customer follow-up
Deal with the financing and leasing of vehicles according to the standards of financial institutions
Delivery of documentation and signatures
Effectively complete sales and rental forms
Ensure that financing and insurance fees are collected
Obtain and verify credit applications.
Payment manipulation during transactions
Revise the sales contracts
Take down payments and issue receipts.
Telephone / email solicitation
