Job Description

At Honda Casavant, a Honda dealership in Saint-Hyacinthe, we are seeking a Sales Director to lead and optimize the sales activity and ensure an exemplary customer experience. Based in Saint-Hyacinthe, this strategic role is essential for guiding our sales team and achieving our objectives while respecting Honda’s ethics and standards. Minimum requirement: 3 years of experience in a sales management position, preferably in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the dealership’s commercial strategy (volume, profit margin, mix of new and used vehicles) and monitor its implementation.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the sales team: team leaders, advisors, and department managers.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact to delivery, including financing and after-sales options.
  • Optimize the customer experience and loyalty: acquiring new clients, converting leads, and retaining customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing for promotions and with the after-sales service to ensure a consistent customer experience.
  • Track and analyze KPIs (sales, gross margin, acquisition cost, customer satisfaction) and produce forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with Honda standards, credit policies, and local legislation.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation within the sales team.
  • Represent the dealership at local events and promote the brand within the community.

Profile Sought

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales management role, ideally in automotive and/or at a Honda dealership.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive sales cycles, financing options, and loyalty programs.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Analytical sensitivity and proficiency with CRM tools and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication skills in French; English is an asset.
  • Results-oriented, autonomous, proactive, and a team player.
