A hands-on role at the heart of the action
This isn’t a management job behind a desk. You’ll continue working as a mechanic while ensuring the shop runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing automotive mechanical work, repairs, and complex diagnostics.
- Handling more demanding technical work, particularly in automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Leading, coaching, and supporting the team of mechanics each day.
- Assigning work based on skills, priorities, and deadlines.
- Helping mechanics resolve technical problems.
- Following up on repairs and ensuring quality control.
- Working with service advisors to coordinate operations effectively.
- Helping improve the shop’s efficiency, productivity, and organization.
- Sharing your knowledge and supporting the team’s skills development.
The person we’re looking for
You have solid experience in automotive mechanics, ideally as a licensed journeyperson mechanic or shop foreman. You’re especially skilled in diagnostics, general mechanics, and modern automotive technologies.
You’re known for your sound judgment, independence, and ability to find solutions. You have leadership skills and strong organizational abilities, and you know how to motivate your colleagues while maintaining a positive work environment.
Have you never been a foreman? If you’re a senior mechanic known for your expertise and ability to guide others, we’re just as interested in your application.
