Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Workshop Foreman, aiming to build a solid career in the automotive industry. This person ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians. They also ensure that after-sales service maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.

Main tasks:

  • Understand warranty policies and manufacturer guidelines and ensure compliance;
  • Ensure that all repairs are fairly and evenly assigned to technicians;
  • Provide technical support to technicians when needed;
  • Ensure that repairs are properly charged;
  • Monitor the progress of each repair throughout the day;
  • Maintain high-quality repair service and minimize returns to the workshop;
  • Perform intermittent checks on completed work to control rigor and quality;
  • Conduct road tests of vehicles to verify the quality of work performed;
  • Participate in handling customer complaints in collaboration with their supervisor;
  • Contribute to managing service performance using tools such as daily operations control, efficiency and productivity checks, reports on returns to the workshop, warranty reports, telephone or email surveys, and monthly forecasts;
  • Monitor the condition of the workshop, including cleanliness, safety, and equipment status;
  • Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and inventory of special tools;
  • Stay updated on federal, provincial, and municipal regulations related to occupational health and safety, maintenance work, waste disposal, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Skills in work management and allocation
  • Excellent technical skills in automotive mechanics to support technicians
  • Leadership and the ability to motivate a team (maintain quality, minimize returns, ensure productivity)
  • Rigor and organizational sense (quality control, compliance with health and safety regulations, management of tools and inventories)
